It's Fire Safety Week... Stay Fire Smart! Don't Get Burned!
As members of the President Township Volunteer Fire Department we take great pride in our community and what we do during Fire Safety Week with the children in our communities.
This year, The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is reaching out in order to educate Parents and Children about keeping our homes safe.
As we all know, burns are painful and can result in serious scarring and possibly death. By taking action to ensure our homes are safer for ourselves and children, such injuries are preventable.
This year President Township Volunteer Fire Fighters are focusing on "Stay Low & Go" along with "Get Out & Stay Out". We will be educating children on smoke alarms, establishing, practicing, and most importantly KNOWING the family's escape route and meeting place in case of fire. We will also practice with them "Stay Low & Go" procedures.
It is our job as volunteers not only to ensure our children get a well-rounded education, but that they are on the cutting edge of safety.
We hope that you all will join us in this fight by putting Fire Prevention Week messages into action.
As always, stay fire smart! Don't get burned.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at PTVFD.
